What's Inside

Here you'll learn the core concepts behind how Redshred organizes and surfaces intelligence — including documents, collections, segments, and perspectives. Let's break it down.

‍

Collections:

A Collection is a curated group of related documents organized around a commontopic, project, or mission area. But Collections are more than organization —their customizable configuration means any document you add (or re-read)automatically inherits the perspectives you've defined, so your intelligencepipeline scales without extra effort.

Documents:

A Document is any source file ingested into Redshred — think technical manuals, specifications, criteria, reports, and more. It's the raw material thatRedshred transforms into structured, searchable intelligence.

Perspectives:

A Perspective is a targeted lens applied to your documents that surfacesspecific types of information relevant to a particular role, question, ormission need. It's how Redshred helps different users get exactly what theyrequire from the same source material. This targeted lens appears as a layer ofmetadata on top of a document that is digitally linked back to its point oforigin. Users can have many, many layers of Perspectives on their documents.

Segments:

A Segment is a discrete, parsed chunk of a document — a section, paragraph, table, figure, or passage that Redshred has identified and extracted as ameaningful unit of content. Segments are the building blocks of everythingRedshred surfaces.
